The Mirror Lake experience was the favorite memory of all of us because Jason jumped in. This was after a several hour, very uphill hike in the cold and rain. When we got to the lake we ate our lunch on the shore, then Jason decided he would jump in.
It was FREEZING glacier water at altitude, in the rain. Jason not only jumped in, he did a few backstrokes and swam around. The crowd around the lake LOVED it. He was freezing the rest of the hike down, but we laughed about it for the rest of the trip.
