Eureka Mining Town

April 2020. From March to July I worked to move my entire business from live events to online webinars . . . and while the eventual shut down of the business was extremely sad and disorienting, the months spent trying to pivot the business were the most stressful. It felt like we were doing battle every day for four months, trying to get the metrics to behave. During the most stressful time of my business career, we also were on quarantine and were stuck at home.

I begged Mike to take me somewhere, anywhere, to get out of Provo. His suggestion? Eureka, Utah. An old falling-apart mining town about an hour south of us. It turned out to be a great photography destination mixed with equal parts abandoned and interesting. The town was operational in the late 1800’s, and then again in the 1950’s. Nothing has been updated since then.
